FDM is a rapid prototyping process used to produce functional ABS, Polycarbonate
and high-temperature Polyphenylsulfone (PPFS) 3D models directly from
CAD data. The system utilizes an extruder-head which squeezes a plastic
filament of melted thermoplastic through a nozzle. The nozzle deposits
the heated plastic layer by layer to form the desired shape. Parts
made in these materials are up to 80% as strong as the injection molded
parts.

- Models are created in production materials such as ABS, Polycarbonate and PPFS.
- PPSF offers the highest heat deflection of any layer manufacturing process (372 F).
- Extremely durable, excellent for functional parts.
- Resistant to oil, gasoline and some acids.
