Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is an additive manufacturing process that uses a CO2 laser which sinters (melts) a powdered substrate to generate solid 3D models layer by layer. Although the powders generate a slightly textured part, they are capable of producing models in Nylon, Glass Filled Nylon, Steel, and Wax. If you require functional parts, living hinges or a chemical resistant patterns, SLS is the process of choice.

Advantages
  • Models are created in production materials such as Nylon, Glass Filled Nylon and Steel.
  • Resistant to alkalines, hydrocarbons, fuels and solvents.
  • Functional living hinges can be produced with Duraform PA (Nylon).
  • Highest documented notched Izod Impact.
  • Laserform A-6 Steel is ideal for injection mold tool inserts or short run metal parts
  • Somos 201 allows for the production of soft rubber-like parts (75 Shore A).
